Kennet and Avon Canal, Pewsey – (Original – 2026)

Last May, we visited the charming village of Pewsey, a place celebrated for its rich history, strong community spirit, and winding canals.

One warm summer morning, while walking our dog along the waters edge, we stumbled upon this beautiful old brick bridge, quietly nestled among the greenery.

I stopped in my tracks. The harmony between the deep reds of the brickwork and the surrounding greens felt effortless. The composition was perfect. It was one of those rare moments where everything simply fits. I reached for my camera, capturing the scene that had instantly captivated me.

Over the following months, I spent hours in the studio translating that moment onto canvas, carefully bringing this hidden corner of Pewsey back to life through oils.

This piece is not just a landscape, but a memory. The appreciation of stillness, colour, and the quiet beauty found when you least expect it.
